I captured this confident leopard during a trip to the Kenyan Maasai Mara. Her self-assured stride (confidence) through the open savannah, seemingly indifferent to onlooking tourists, stood out. In the presence of vehicles, she felt secure —using them as a shield against potential predators. (adaptation) . Unlike elusive leopards, she sat on a large stone, unperturbed by our presence, displaying a carefree, bold, fearless attitude, making for a memorable photo as she looked straight into the camera. I thanked her for the lessons I was learning watching her.
